Temperature probes

The gateway provides two dedicated probe inputs:

  • Thermistor probe: NTC sensor.
  • Precision probe: PT100 RTD sensor.

Configure a probe

  1. Open and enable the probe

Open Sensors > Temperature probes, select the probe, and turn on Enable sensor.

  2. Name the measurement

Enter a descriptive Name that identifies the connected probe.

  3. Configure MQTT publishing

Turn on MQTT Publish Enable and set MQTT publishing interval (s).

  4. Enter the probe values

Expand Advanced and configure the NTC- or PT100-specific values below.

  5. Save and verify

Select Save settings, then confirm a plausible live temperature on Overview.

Set Valid minimum (°C), Valid maximum (°C), and Offset correction (°C). Enter the probe's Nominal resistance, Nominal temperature, and Beta coefficient from its datasheet. The defaults 10000, 25, and 3950 suit a common 10 kΩ NTC probe.

Thermistor settings include its MQTT schedule, valid range, offset, nominal resistance, nominal temperature, and beta coefficient.
PT100 settings include its valid range, offset, mains filter, MQTT schedule, and publish-on-change threshold.

If Overview shows Reading unavailable, check the probe wiring and open Diagnostics > Hardware.

Digital inputs

The gateway has three digital inputs, DI 1-3. Each input can report a selected state, report state transitions, or count pulses.

Configure an input

  1. Open and enable the input

Open Sensors > Inputs, select an input such as DI 1, and turn on Enable channel.

  2. Name the input

Enter a descriptive Name, such as Flow switch.

  3. Choose its behavior

Under What it does, choose a mode and complete the mode-specific settings.

  4. Filter contact bounce

Turn on Contact debounce for a mechanical contact. The filter suppresses contact bounce for 50 ms.

  5. Save the settings

Select Save settings and confirm that the input reports the expected state or count.

ModeConfigure
Publish one stateChoose whether to publish when the input becomes Inactive or Active.
Publish state changesPublish on Activation, Deactivation, or Both changes.
Count pulsesChoose the counted edge, enter Amount per pulse and Unit, and decide whether to keep the count after restart. The stored total survives a restart only when persistence is enabled.
DI 1 configured to count pulses, convert each pulse to a measured amount, and retain the total after restart.
