Configuration

Environment and analog inputs

Configure enclosure monitoring and the four voltage or current analog input channels.

Environment sensor

The built-in environment sensor measures enclosure temperature in °C and relative humidity in %RH.

  1. Enable the sensor

Open Sensors > Environment and turn on Enable sensor. Enable the built-in Heater only when the installation requires it; heating can temporarily affect local temperature and humidity readings.

  2. Configure MQTT publishing

Turn on MQTT Publish Enable and set MQTT publishing interval (s). For example, enter 10 to publish every ten seconds.

  3. Set optional alerts

Expand Advanced. Enable high or low temperature and humidity alerts as needed, then set each limit.

  4. Publish meaningful changes

To publish between scheduled intervals when a reading changes, turn on MQTT Publish When Reading Changes and enter temperature and humidity change steps.

  5. Save and verify

Select Save settings, then confirm the enclosure temperature and humidity on Overview.

Environment settings include the enclosure sensor, heater, MQTT schedule, alerts, and publish-on-change thresholds.

Environment limits

SettingAccepted value
MQTT publishing intervalWhole number from 1-3600 seconds
Temperature alert limits-40 to 125 °C; low must not exceed high
Humidity alert limits0-100 %RH; low must not exceed high
Temperature change step0-165 °C
Humidity change step0-100 %RH

Analog inputs

The gateway has four analog channels.

ChannelsInput typeTypical use
Analog 1 and Analog 2VoltageSensors with a 0-10 V output
Analog 3 and Analog 4CurrentSensors with a 4-20 mA output

Configure a channel

This example configures Analog 1 for a 0-10 bar pressure transmitter.

  1. Open and enable the channel

Open Sensors > Analog, select Channel 1, and turn on Enable channel.

  2. Identify the measurement

Enter a clear Name, such as Tank pressure, and a Unit, such as bar.

  3. Configure MQTT publishing

Turn on MQTT Publish Enable and set the publishing interval.

  4. Configure advanced processing

Expand Advanced and set any required engineering scaling, calibration, or alarm values.

  5. Save and verify

Select Save settings, then open Overview and confirm that Analog 1 uses the new name and shows a plausible live value.

Analog 1 configured as a tank-pressure channel with engineering scaling and alarm settings.

Advanced analog settings

SettingPurpose
Calibration gainMultiplies the measured value to correct a known gain error.
Calibration offsetAdds an offset to correct a consistent measurement error.
Engineering scalingMaps the electrical input range to engineering minimum and maximum values.
Out-of-range alarmFlags values below Alarm below or above Alarm above.
Include raw ADC value in MQTTAdds the converter's raw value to the MQTT payload.
Include ADC voltage in MQTTAdds the measured converter voltage to the MQTT payload.
Include engineering value in MQTTAdds the scaled value and configured unit to the MQTT payload.
